Test Data Management : - 

Test Management helps us in enabling us to manage the test data needed for execution, it is a part of Tricentis Tosca Testsuite standard installation.

It helps in managing, using and reusing test datas.Testers also can access the exact test data required seamlessly for even more complex scenarios and with on demand access in stateful test data.

Test data management serves to manage, use and reuse test data. In addition, a TQL syntax can be used to search for appropriate objects in the test data repository.

Why TDM - 

Test data management is about identifying the right test data for the execution of your tests. The identification of the appropriate test data is the most time-consuming and resource-intensive challenge faced by testers today. Test automation and continuous testing, required to meet the promise of Agile and DevOps, make it even harder.

The Tricents Tosca Test Data Service addresses these challenges and provides you with a central place to:

• Register your test data

• Use the right data in your tests

• Track the state of test data over its entire life cycle

• Manage shared data

Open the Test Data Management

The Test Data Management web application enables you to view all records in your test data repositories and modify or delete selected ones. 

It is automatically installed as part of the Test Data Service component in the Tricentis Tosca Server setup and has to meet certain system requirements.

Once you have installed the Test Data Service component, you can open the Test Data Management via the Tricentis Tosca Server website.

To open the Test Data Management, click the Test Data Management icon.

Test Data Service - 

Tricentis Tosca Test Data Service is a web-based application that enables you to manage your test data in distributed environments.

Installation

1. The installation of Tosca Test Data Service is part of the Tricentis Tosca Server installation.

2. If you perform an unattended installation, make sure to install Tosca Administration Console for authentication in Test Data Service.

NOTE -Tosca Commander and Tosca Server must be of the same version to allow communication.
